China News Center, April 14, 2012: The Shanxi provincial government signed a cooperation framework agreement with Peking University (PKU) in Beijing on April 11, for their further cooperation on technology, talented persons’ cultivation, education and decision consulting, with Wang Jun, the governor, Zhou Qifeng, President of PKU taking part.
The agreement signifies a new level of the cooperation between Shanxi and Peking University.
By the agreement, a full cooperative relationship will be built under the principle of “equality and mutual benefit, complementary advantage and common development” and with the talented advantage of PKU, the agreement is expected to speed up Shanxi’s economic and social transition.
The fields of their cooperation include technology and education, exchange of talented people, medicine and hygiene, urban and economic development planning, reasonable use of resources and energy, environment protection, culture inheritance, and archaeological excavations and research.
A school-enterprise cooperation joint conference system will be established to promote the cooperation with counterpart contact office and cooperative innovation foundation set up, to launch regular high-level exchanges.
