Peking University, Beijing, Nov. 4, 2009: On the evening of October 25, the second training meeting for the leaders of student associations was held at Room 207 of the Second Teaching Building by Peking University (PKU) Students’ Extracurricular Activities Guiding Center. The theme of this meeting was “Analysis of Associations’ Internal Financial Management and Reimbursement Process”. Mr. Shi Changyi, the Executive Vice-Director of the general office of the Youth League, PKU Committee gave the lecture during the meeting, and representatives from nearly one hundred associations attended this meeting.
The aim of this meeting is to promote the development of the financial management of PKU associations, clarify the related policies, and further improve the management standardization, specialization, and rationalization. Combining with his own working experiences on financial management, Mr. Shi Changyi gave an overall explanation of key issues in the associations’ financial management by introducing the relevant rules and regulations in detail and analyzing typical cases thoroughly. He also analyzed the financial source during the operation of the associations specially. He hoped that the backbones of the student associations could improve their capabilities in practice by requiring themselves strictly during their daily work. Subsequently, the student from the Office of Student Association of the Youth League, PKU Committee explained the specific reimbursement process of association activities in detail.
The training meeting lasted more than one hour, and ended in students’ warm applauses. The participants generally agreed that the things learnt in this training, which linked with the practice closely, will be helpful during their association management. They expressed that to master practical knowledge of association financial management will be of much help for their future duties.
