Peking University, May 20, 2011: The 49th Beijing Collegiate Track and Field Meet concluded on May 15 at Tsinghua University. Peking University won the men’s overall with 234 points while the women’s team won first runner up with 125 points.

The PKU team was second runner up in the overall category with 359 points, and PKU athletes broke three records: men's 4 × 100 meters relay (40.05 seconds), women's long jump (6.49 meters), and men’s 400 meters (46.31 seconds).

Peking University also won the “Sportsmanship Award,” “Best Team,” and 11 other event champion trophies. It was the fourth time the men’s 4 × 100 meters relay team has emerged as champions. The men’s 4 × 400 meters relay team has also beat Tsinghua’s team for the first time.

Peking University will host next year’s meet.
