Peking University, Sept. 28, 2012: After 7 days of intense competition, Beijing women’s basketball team won the championship in the final competition in the 9th University Games held at Tianjin University of Finance & Economics on Sept. 17, 2012.

Beijing women’s basketball team is made up of PKU women’s basketball team and BNU women’s basketball team, both of which are the champions of the China University Basketball Association. The Beijing team got into the quarterfinal as the group winner. In the final competition, Beijing team beat its rival Shanxi women’s basketball team with obvious advantage by 27 points. It led the winning position from the beginning of the final competition, leaving little space for the rival team to surpass.

PKU players are all from School of Journalism & Communication. They are: Hua Lin, Hu Yidan, Chen Xianyu, Zhou Yuting, Wang Lili, Zong Yuhang, Jiang Tong.
