Peking University, Oct.31, 2012: With the theme of “Explore Your Danish Opportunities”, 2012 “Denmark Day” was held at PKU on October 23. Ambassador of Denmark to PRC, Friis Arne Petersen, PKU Council Chairman Zhu Shanlu, and PKU vice president Li Yansong attended the “Denmark Day”.

During the meeting, Zhu Shanlu welcomed Ambassador warmly and thanked him for bringing so many rich and colorful activities. Ambassador Petersen said that although Denmark is a small country and lack of resources, many Danish industries hold a leading position in the world. He hoped that more chances to study and work in Denmark could be provided for students through this “Denmark Day”.

After the meeting, the opening ceremony was held at Ying Jie Exchange Center. Li Yansong stated that Demark, which is in harmonious atmosphere and located in the center of Europe, has become a wonderful choice for students to go for further study. PKU would broaden its international vision and look for more possibilities to cooperate with Denmark. Ambassador Petersen hoped that Chinese students could take this chance to have a better understanding of Danish top universities and enterprises through the Fair.

Danish special food was offered during the activity. Other activities such as photography show of “Denmark Bicycle Culture” and alumni sharing meeting were also held to provide students with more opportunity to communicate with the representatives of Danish universities and enterprises.
