Peking University, April 29, 2014: On April 20th, PKU was bursting with life as high school students and their parents were attracted here for PKU Campus Open Day 2014.
The Campus Open Day kicked off as "2014 PKU Undergraduate Recruitment Information Release" was held at PKU Gymnasium. PKU Vice President and Provost Gao Song attended the event and introduced the talent training principles and talent selection criteria of PKU to the audiences.

Schools and departments, researches and institutes as well as some administration offices set booths for undergraduate admission consultancy in the North Square of PKU Gymnasium. Besides, several national key laboratories, libraries and museums also opened for visit while student societies presented wonderful performance. They were woven into a fabric to present an overview of the whole university.

The open day attracted candidates from across the country as well as parents and teachers. PKU was well-prepared to offer activities which could enhance their understanding of PKU. For these activities, there were sample classes, research, presentations, information about admission policies, various departments and student organizations which showed the unique charm of PKU, the learning environment and the campus life.
The open day was also made online where those who can't make it onsite could communicate with the admission officers through Sina Micro-blog. On the web, a lot of inquiries about admission scores, majors and career prospects were received.
The Campus Open Day is set to let more students and parents get close to PKU. Not only are they provided with admission information, they can also be affected by PKU's campus life, culture and spirit. It is held a week before the anniversary of PKU because the campus at this time is the most beautiful one. Also, as students are about to start their College Entrance Examination, this is a good time for them to understand what PKU is like.
