Umbrellas offered by PKU Student Union—shelters from the rain

Peking University, Jun. 6, 2015: To shelter teachers and students at PKU from the heavy rain, PKU Student Union sets self-service boxes of umbrellas in several classroom buildings, including Lijiao Building, Classroom Building No. 1, Classroom Building No. 3, and Wen-shi Classroom Building.

The project launched on June 5 before heavy rain poured down as forecasted when members of PKU Student Union carried more than a dozen boxes of umbrellas to the classroom buildings. It was an immediate help for students stranded in the buildings after class for the pouring rain.

The project will be a lasting one. PKU Student Union has posted the details on their Wechat public account ”pkustudentunion”. Every student or teacher at campus can take the umbrella as they need and return it after use. And the whole take-and-return process will be managed by students themselves.
