Peking University, Nov. 24,2016: On November 21, Peking University Study Abroad Fair 2016 was held at Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center by the Office of International Relations. Aimed at offering convenient access to information on studying abroad to students, the fair provides a chance for about 40 universities and educational institutions to introduce their programs and communicate with students face to face.
At the fair, representatives from top universities all over the world answered students’ questions on application procedures, exchange programs, degree programs and scholarships. Some universities also invited their exchange students at PKU to attend the fair for more details of studying abroad, such as course enrollment and accomodation.
Apart from the fair at the main venue, representatives from 16 universities and institutions held their info sessions at other venues. Emma from University College London talked about their diverse summer programs. University of Groningenfrom Netherlands introduced their international teaching environment and humanity consciousness to students. University of British Columbia shared students’ intimate interactionswith nature on campus .
Moreover, the Office of International Relations also organized an info session on EAP and other exchange programs to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with a particularfocus on the annual exchange program of PKUopenat present.

Background information:
The Education Abroad Program (EAP) of Peking University aims to introduce international activitiesand enhance international communication of PKUby providing PKU students opportunities in studying abroad and attracting international students to PKU. As more students grow interested in studying abroad, the scale of overseas exchange programs has also been enlarging.More than 100 regular exchange program and almost 30 during vacations are open to registered PKU students now. It is estimated that nearly 700 students are studying abroad or will go abroad during semesters from 2016 to 2017 .
