Peking University, May 13, 2017: On May 5, the Summit of College-Enterprise Cooperation and 15th Anniversary Celebrations of the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science was held at Central International Center. The attending guests include officials from PKU, representatives from EECS, and members of relevant enterprises, such as Huawei, Baidu, etc. The summit was hosted by Xiong Xiaoliang, deputy secretary of the CPC of EECS.
As the Dean of EECS, Mrs. Huang Ru delivered a speech which ranged from the history and foundation of EECS to its present operations and achievements. At the end of her speech, she appealed for more communications and further cooperation between EECS and well-known enterprises.

Mr. Gustav Nilsson, director of human resources at Schlumberger Technologies (Beijing) Ltd, gave a speech on behalf of his company. As the representative of the sponsor of many EECS student activities, the scientific cooperation partner of EECS, and the donor of the Schlumberger Scholarship, Mr. Nilsson introduced the business system of his company and their cooperation with EECS.
Zhang Lixin, director of PKU Student Career Center, pointed out the good reputation and the extraordinary performance of the EECS. She gave great credit to the officials and faculty members of the EECS who spared no effort to cultivate and support students. She hoped that ECSS can continue making full use of its advantages, strengthening cooperation with enterprises, and realizing greater achievements in the aspect of research and job placements of the students.
In the last part of the summit, the “Contribution to Education Award” was presented to Qualcomm, which had donated the highest amount of scholarship to ECSS. Afterwards, a Letter of Intent was signed jointly by the ECSS and other relevant companies. In the end, students who were qualified for school scholarship received their certificates of honor.
