Peking University, Nov.3, 2018: On the afternoon of October 28th, Peking University's 2019 Job Fair was held at Khoo Teck Puat Gymnasium. About 190 employers from 21 provinces nationwide were invited and nearly 5,000 fresh graduates from Peking University and other universities were present. The fair offered nearly 8,000 career opportunities in government, universities, research institutes, media outlets, IT & biomedicine companies, energy firms, financial services, etc. 

The Site of Job Fair

The real-time information and mapping system, the policy consultation, the career guidance service desk, the on-site distribution of job-hunting guidebooks, and online application service were all available at the fair. Many employers have been recruiting PKU graduates for years. According to their observation, graduates this year are more mature and well-prepared. In addition to work responsibilities and salary, many students choose the field of their ideal jobs based on the national development blueprint. PKU graduates present at the fair generally appraise the quality positions the fair provided. Many of them have a clearer understanding of their career paths through face-to-face communication with employers.

PKU highly valued this recruitment event, and the Student Employment Guidance Service Center has made substantial efforts to it, from setting up a special working group beforehand to conducting a qualification review of employers.
