PekingUniversity, Beijing, April 18th, 2009: PekingUniversityput the 2009 school open day online. The high school students and their parents can get information of Peking University at any time online. They can also type their questions to the faculty of PKU.

On 8:00-14:00 April 18th, PKU's new consulting platform opened on the Education Channel of www.sina.com.cn.  Admission policies were released on the internet. Netizens can talk directly to people in charge of admission through net cast and texts. The platform covered all information of PKU education characteristics and school life. Videos, pictures and texts of PKU museum, galleries, library and other functional department come quickly into eyes by a click on mouse.

The platform also contains direct broadcasting rooms for every education and functional departments. PKU sent teams of authoritative faculty to give advice and answer questions for the examinees.

After the open day period, the platform will remain open with all the edited and arranged consulting data.

The open day platform online aims to efficiently and economically provide comprehensive and veritable information of PKU which may benefit the examinees. It also serves as a communication platform for PKU to interact with examinees.
