Peking University, Beijing, Nov. 20, 2009: On the afternoon of November 13, the final of Bayer Write & Black Environment Protection Campaign of Northern China Division was held. The project “Forest Song of PKU” by Peking University (PKU) was highly valued by judges for its creativity, operability, sustainability, and universality. It got the highest point in two rounds and won the champion eventually. The team members of the “Forest Song of PKU” are students from different departments of PKU College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, and this project is an integral part of PKU’s sustainable campus construction, which encourages students to carry out innovations in environmental protection.
With the theme of “Keep the earth healthy with environmental protection day and night”, the Bayer Write & Black Environmental Protection Campaign, supported by All-China Youth Federation, has called on the day-and-night guard for earth and practical actions from college students as well. Since the start of this campaign in August, it has attracted the participation of 1,043 teams and attention from various public media for its originality and interactivity.
