Fifteen individuals at PKU Medicine were recognized as outstanding figures in the response (including one as outstanding member of the Communist Party of China), and three groups were commended.
With their consummate skills, altruistic devotion, and heroic sacrifice, a rising generation added yet another splendid page in the history of PKU Medicine, a testimony to the values that the institution has relentlessly championed.
The fourth mission (with 334 members) of PKU Medicine to Hubei
Since the beginning of the outbreak at the turn of 2020, more than 4000 health workers at PKU Medicine have signed up for missions to the epicenter and saved 339 critical patients.
Apart from caring for the sick on the frontline, PKU Medicine also battled COVID-19 through its expertise in disease prevention and control, and disseminated to the public evidence-based authoritative information.

Peking University First Hospital Missions to Hubei
Fully mobilized, Peking University First Hospital acted upon orders and sent a mission of 136 people to the epicenter. On their arrival at the target hospital, this professional team launched into meticulous and efficient operation. Through custom-tailored protocols and a multi-platform, multi-dimension, and multi-disciplinary model, it committed itself to precision care with sound evidence. In the 72 days on the frontline, it saved 100 COVID-19 patients, achieving high success rate in treatment of critical patients and zero infection among its members.
