Peking University, Sept. 28, 2010: Prof. Jiang Kai of Peking University Graduate School of Education (GSE) has become member of the international editorial advisory board of the CERC Studies in Comparative Education series from Sept. 1, 2010, with a three-year term.
The series is co-published by the Comparative Education Research Center (CERC) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and a world-famous publishing group Springer. It has brought out 28 academic monographs in English since 1997, some of which have been translated into various languages such as Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and Persian with international influence. The international editorial advisory board of the series consists of five or six members from countries and regions such as China, US, UK, Russia, and Latin America each term. Newcomers employed this year are five specialists on comparative education- Robert Arnove, Nina Borevskaya, Michael Crossley, Cristian Pérez Centeno, and Gita Steiner-Khams.
The latest issue of CERCular introduced Prof. Jiang’s academic achievements in and after his postdoctoral researches at HKU, including the 12th Fok Ying-tung Young Scholar Fund and the top category in the Beijing Outstanding Educational Research Prize in 2008. His contribution to the communication between the circles of comparative education in Hong Kong and on the Chinese mainland also received positive remarks.
In recent years Prof. Jiang serves as anonymous referee for internationally renowned journals like Higher Education and Asia Pacific Education.
