Peking University, Nov. 14, 2011: The Ninth Chinese Intelligent Robotics Symposium, namely The First Youth Forum of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence was held at Peking University (PKU) Shenzhen Graduate School on November 11th. Professor Liu Hong, director of Research Deparpment of Shenzhen Graduate School and Open Lab on Human Robot Interaction, presided at the opening ceremony.

Many distinguished professors and scholars of artificial intelligence attended the opening ceremony including Professor Xu Yangsheng from The Chinese University of HongKong, Professor Zhong Yixin from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications , Professor Huang Xinhan from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Professor Tan Min from Chinese Academy of Science, Professor Sun Lining from Harbin Institute of Technology and Professor Shi Shouxu from Peking University.

Founded in 1981, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence is the official member of Chinese Association of Science Technology, with 33 subordinates consisting of 28 professional committees and 5 working committees covering almost every field of intelligence science and technology. With the rapid development and wide application of intelligence technology, more related academic groups have joined Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is the national key disciplines of Information Technology and it has made great progress in China, leading to an extensive application everywhere in national economy.
With over 500 corporations in artificial intelligence industry in Shenzhen, including artificial intelligence monitoring, domestic robots, etc., the artificial intelligence industry has become the mainstay information industry of this city.
