Director of Taiwan Affairs Office of Beijing Yu Qingfeng visits Peking University

Peking University, April 26, 2019: Taiwan Affairs Office of Beijing Yu Qingfeng visited Peking University on April 18, inquiring about the preparation progress of the PKU sub-forum of the Cross-strait Youth Exchange and Cooperation Summit (Beijing). PKU Vice President Chen Baojian met with the distinguished guests at Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center.
Chen Baojian welcomed Yu on behalf of PKU and introduced to him recent activities on campus. Xia Hongwei, director of the Office of International Relations at Peking University, circumstantiated the preparatory work done for the sub-forum, saying that the sub-forum is expected to strengthen the cultural and national identity of youngsters from Taiwan through a series of events, such as thematic lectures and traditional cultural performances.
Yu Qingfeng extended his appreciation to Peking University for the efforts that had been made to the sub-forum. Yu also hoped that the sub-forum will be regularly held at Peking University in the years to come.
The Cross-Strait Youth Exchange and Cooperation Summit (Beijing) is a flagship event hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Beijing, and it will be held in May this year.
