Peking University, Oct. 14, 2010: On Aug. 6, 2010, Chang Pengben, a student from PKU School of Government, won the championship of men's 400-meter final race in the National Track and Field Tournament, namely the Selective Contest for the Asian Games, with a time of 45.98 seconds, and thus was selected into Chinese Team for the Asian Games.

Chang Pengben was admitted to Peking University in 2008 with a race result of 48.21 seconds. Since then he has been training hard and made much progress. In March 2009, he passed the National Athletes Standard with a result of 47.16 seconds.In this year's National Track and Field Tournament , Chang Pengben won first place and got the qualification for Asian Games which will be held in Guangzhou in November.
Chang Pengben is the fourth Chinese athlete who broke through the record of 46 seconds
