After the college entrance examination, the summer vacation should be a break before the beginning of college life, but Xiao Feng (a pseudonym), freshman of Peking University from Sichuan has started to work in Chengdu in order to help relieve the economic burden of his family. When the Sichuan Alumni Association contacted him and invited him to join the "one-to-one" subsidy of the Sailing Plan, Xiao Feng replied the next day: “Although I meet some financial difficulty now, but I want to finish college by my own work-study program plus loans. It's harder, but it's also an opportunity.” The alumni were touched by his sensibility and responsibility, leaving 5,000-yuan subsidy of the Sailing Plan and a message: “The future belongs to you. Come on! Alumni associations will lend a helping hand whenever necessary!”
2019 is the second year of the launch of the Sailing Plan of Sichuan Alumni Association. As soon as the enrollment was completed in July, the Sichuan Alumni Association communicated with the freshmen according to the information provided by the admission team and conducted field visits. Finally, eight freshmen became the funding targets this year. In addition to providing financial support, the Sailing Plan also collaborates with alumni enterprises to provide work-study opportunities for needy freshmen.
The Hubei Alumni Association launched the "one-to-one" pair activities to build a "home" culture of "warmth, unity, mutual assistance and co-construction" with old and new alumni. Alumni associations in Tianjin, Xinjiang, Shandong, Suzhou and other places carry out freshmen consultation with rich and colorful activities, inviting alumni to share their experience with new alumni and plan university life together.

Tea reception with Malay characteristics is an annual gift from Malaysian Alumni Association to freshmen and their parents. At the New Year Tea Party, alumni put the badge of Peking University on the freshmen. It is a solemn ceremony for the new students to become a PKUers, and it also records the beautiful moment of passing blessings and expectations.

Every generation bears their responsibility. In the mid-summer of 2019, a group of new graduates set off from PKU to all over the world. They are full of expectations for the future and infinite attachment to their alma mater. They embark on a new journey of life and go to places where they are needed by the nation and people to dedicate their youth and build their career.
The Shenzhen Alumni Association held a welcome meeting, bringing a lot of useful information to the alumni who settled in Shenzhen. It is understood that the Shenzhen Alumni Association provides seven specialized services for alumni of graduates, including electronic alumni cards, public WeChat subscription release, dating, innovation and entrepreneurship, sports and fitness, and other aspects, to facilitate the work and life of alumni of graduates in Shenzhen in an all-round way. Here, alumni can not only enjoy the above exclusive services, but also rely on the multi-party cooperation platform established by their alma mater and the Shenzhen Municipal Government to seek better career development opportunities. The new alumni who first attended the meeting couldn’t restrain their excitement. “In the words of encouragement and support from my senior schoolmates, I feel that I never left Yan Yuan. Here, we can not only get love and help, but also pass on the spirit of Peking University.”
Shenzhen Alumni Association’s Welcoming Event
When Hunan was in July’s scorching sun, a welcome symposium for college students selected for local government jobs was being held here with a harmonious and warm atmosphere. This year, a total of 20 new graduates from Peking University have been selected to work in Hunan Province. The Hunan Alumni Association organized the symposium to welcome new alumni to work in Hunan and join the Alumni Association family.

On the evening of March 20, 1981, the students of Peking University called out the slogan “Unite and Revitalize China”, which becomes the strongest voice in that time.
More than 30 years later, the slogan of “Unite and Revitalize China” was called out again in the activities of alumni associations in many places. This is the patriotic background that has been adhered to in the hearts of Peking University for generations and the lasting inheritance of the spirit of Peking University.
In the activities of alumni associations in various places, the unity and warmth of PKUers and the spirit of Peking University is also passing on from generation to generation. Peking University Alumni Association will continue to work closely with the global alumni organizations around the school center, adhere to the core concept of “serving alumni”, keep in close contact with alumni, gather the strength of alumni, and make due contributions to the development and construction of the university.
