Workshop on Economy of Socialist Eco-civilization held at PKU

Peking University, Sept. 25 2019: From September 8 to 10, the Workshop on Economy of Socialist Eco-civilization hosted by PKU School of Marxism and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung in Germany was held at Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center. The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Huan Qingzhi of School of Marxism. Professor Liu Jun, vice director of School of Marxism gave a talk and Professor Jan Turowski, director of the Rosa Luxembourg Stiftung China Office, introduced the background of the workshop. More than 40 representatives from Berlin University of Applied Science and Technology of Germany, Rosa Luxembourg Stiftung, Osaka City University, Peking University, Renmin University of China and other universities and research institutions made presentations and conducted in-depth discussions about socialist eco-civilization.

During the discussion, experts and scholars exchanged views on the common problems that both China and the West encounter, the cornerstone of eco-socialism, the perception of future society, the breakthrough of discourse construction, and more.
Apart from the discussion, the scholars also expressed their willingness of future cooperation.
