PKU Management Personnel visits PHBS UK Campus

Peking University, November 8, 2019: On October 30th, Peking University Vice President Tian Gang led a delegation to visit the UK campus of Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS). Hai Wen, vice chairman of PKU Council and dean of PHBS, and Li Yun, vice director of PKU Office of International Relations were both in the delegation.

Hai Wen and Liu Shaojia, head of PHBS UK campus, together made a brief introduction on the history, new development, and future plans of the UK campus of PHBS, and received the full approval of Tian Gang. Tian pointed out that, in the era of internationalization, one of PKU’s major missions is to advance the internationalization of higher education. In the future, PKU will continue to increase the proportion of international students, strengthen interscholastic partnership, promote academic exchanges, and encourage collaborative research projects. PKU will strive to build a transcultural community while maintaining its own unique traditions and culture.
During the visit, Tian Gang attended a lecture with the faculty and students. He also took a tour around the campus.

On October 29th, Tian Gang and other people in the delegation visited Cambridge University, where both sides had an in-depth discussion about their cooperation in scientific research in Shen Zhen.
