Queen's delegation visits PKU

Peking University, Feb. 29, 2012: Dr. Daniel Woolf, principal and vice-chancellor of Queen’s University, visited Peking University (PKU) together with his delegation recently. Professor Zhou Qifeng, president of PKU, welcomed the delegation at Linhuxuan.

 

Professor Zhou Qifeng gave the delegation a brief introduction about PKU’s history, as well as its international exchanges.

 

Professor Woolf introduced Queen’s briefly, stressing its international atmosphere and communications, and he hoped that more exchanges and cooperation could be executed between the two universities. Professor Woolf also mentioned that this was the second time that he had visited PKU, and on this occasion he found  the campus had becomeeven more beautiful.

 

Professor Mo Shujun, director of the Office of International Relations at PKU Guanghua School of Management (GSM), introduced the exchange project between GSM and Queen’s School of Business. Professor John Dixon, vice-provost of Queen’s, introduced its campus in England as well as its summer school project.

 

Discussions on the academic cooperation between PKU and Queen’s were held later. Then the hosts and the guests exchanged gifts and took photos together.
