Peking University, June 11, 2012: Randal Bryant, dean of Computer Science School of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), visited PKU on June 4, and held a seminar at PKU Computer Science School. Randal Bryant is a member of NAE (The National Academy of Engineering) and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) Fellow.
Prof. Mei Hong exchanges with Prof. Bryant
Professor Mei Hong presided over the seminar. He first on behalf of PKU EECS expressed welcome to Randal Bryant’s visit. Next, the two deans mutually introduced their schools on the following aspects, such as basic situation, discipline construction and resent research progress. They discussed over further cooperation on teaching, co-research and student exchange program.
Three assistant deans of PKU Computing Science School attended the seminar. Present at the meeting there was also Dr. Lu Junlin, deputy director of PKU Computer Architecture.

Randal Bryant attended the PKU Scholar Forum of “Information Technology and Informationization” and gave a lecture on Data Intensive Computing in Cloud Computing Era, which received much appreciation from PKU teachers and students.
