Peking University, Dec 3, 2015: On November 23, 2015, “Chinese and Iranian Art Exhibition” was held in Peking University Library, which is one of the events in “One Way One Belt” series.
Organizers included the School of Foreign Language, the Office of Educational Administration, the Office of International Relations, with co-organizers involving Iran Embassy Culture Office, the Center for Mid-East Studies at PKU, the Department of Arabic, the Department of West Asia Languages, the School of Arts and Ali Leigong Art Studio.
Vice President Li Yansong and Iran Ambassador Ali Asghar attended the opening ceremony. Deputy Dean Li Shujing of the School of Foreign Language and Iran Embassy Cultural Counselor delivered speeches on behalf of both nations, appreciating the brilliant works of Chinese and Iranian artists.
The exhibition presented hundreds of delicate fine art masterpieces from celebrated Iranian and Chinese artists.
After the opening ceremony, Chinese and Iranian artists did a painting together, showing the friendship between the two nations.
