Peking University, Mar 19, 2012: On the morning of March 13, Professor Jane Ohlmeyer, vice president of Trinity College Dublin, led a delegation to PKU and met with vice president Wang Enge of PKU in Linhuxuan.

Trinity College Dublin Trinity College is one of the seven ancient universities of Britain and Ireland. It is Ireland's oldest university. In 2011, it was ranked by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings as the 117th best university in the world, by the QS World University Rankings as the 65th best, by the Academic Ranking of World Universities as within the 201-300 bracket, and by all three as the best university in Ireland.
PKU had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Trinity College Dublin in April 2011.Under the framework for cooperation, Jane Ohlmeyer's visit this time was aimed at a further discussion about the possibility of a cooperation between the two universities. Trinity College Dublin had a strong scientific research ability in fields like physics, chemistry, material, and medicine, and it was hopeful that they could establish mutual communication with PKU by means of student exchange program, joint scientific research and joint training etc. Vice president Wang Enge warmly welcomed their visit to PKU and showed a willingness to discuss the cooperation possibility between the two universities in the above fields. Dean of the Graduate School and the College of Engineering, dean of the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering and dean of School of Physics introduced the basic state of their schools separately.
