Peking University, March 15, 2018: The website of World Congress on Marxism has been officially launched through Peking University and has been designated as the only authorized website by its Organizing Committee.
Ratified by the Ministry of Education of China and guided by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the People's Government of Beijing City, the World Congress on Marxism is an international academic conference sponsored by Peking University and organized by the School of Marxism at Peking University.
The 1st World Congress on Marxism was held at Peking University from October 10 to 11, 2015, attended by more than 500 scholars from over 20 countries. It is the first worldwide academic seminar on Marxism held in a socialist country.
The 2nd World Congress on Marxism is scheduled to be held in early May. Themed "Marxism and a Human Community with Shared Destiny", the Congress has 10 sub-forums and 4 high-level talks. The website of World Congress on Marxism will give real-time reporting on the newest viewpoints, publish the newly-released papers of scholars, and release updates on other news of latest progress.
At present, the website is accessible in both Chinese and English, and versions in German and Russian are in development.
