President Hao Ping meets with Carolyn Evans, president of Griffith University

Peking University, April 12, 2019: Professor Carolyn Evans, president of Griffith University visited Peking University on the morning of April 10, 2019. Hao Ping, president of Peking University, greeted the guests at Linhuxuan, accompanied by Liu Shusen, director of PKU Australian Studies Center, Xia Hongwei, director of Office of International Relations and Dong Zhaohua, deputy dean of School of International Relations.



President Hao expressed his warmest welcome to Evans' visit. He pointed out that Griffith university is one of the closest partners of Peking University in Australia, and that the two universities had realized numerous fruitful collaborations in joint researches, student exchange programs and many other fields. As a young university, Griffith University has developed rapidly with its revolutionary ideas, President Hao added, calling on Chinese universities to follow their Australian counterpart’s good example.

President Evans expressed her gratitude to Peking University for its warm welcome and pointed out that the two universities share the same idea on cultivating students with global vision. She hoped that two universities will further strengthen ties in collaborative teaching and create more opportunities for students from both sides to engage in exchange programs.
