Peking University signs cooperation agreement with UNESCO

Peking University, July 13, 2019: On July 10, Hao Ping, president of Peking University and chairman of the 37th UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) General Conference, accompanied by his delegation, visited the headquarter of UNESCO in Paris, France. On behalf of Peking University, An Yufeng, vice chairman of Peking University Council, signed a cooperation agreement on internship training with Hong Kwon, director of the Personnel Bureau of UNESCO.
Peking University has always attached great importance to various projects of personnel training in international organizations, to which its many departments have carried out corresponding research and courses. The School of International Studies has established the Department of International Organization and International Public Policy to train academic and application-oriented talents who master international organizations.
The cooperation agreement signed by PKU and UNESCO on internship training constitutes an essential chain of Peking University’s international development strategy. In the future, Peking University will continue to strengthen its cooperation with UN agencies and further promote the university’s talent training for international organizations.
