President of UCL Michael Arthur visits Peking University

Peking University, Dec 2, 2019: Michael Arthur, president of University College London (UCL) visited Peking University on November 28. Hao Ping, president of Peking University, met with the guests at Linhuxuan and signed a Memorandum of Understanding for future cooperation between two universities.

Hao Ping welcomed Arthur’s visit. He pointed out that PKU has always attached great importance to the cooperation with UCL and has made achievements in various fields such as archeology, management, and medicine. He hoped that the two universities could expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in the future.
Arthur thanked Hao for PKU's warm reception and said that UCL has regarded PKU as an important strategic partner since 2015 and the two universities has achieved fruitful cooperation over the years. He briefly introduced the strategic cooperation plan for the next five years, hoping to strengthen exchanges in various fields, such as management, psychology, engineering, and other disciplines. Arthur added that he UCL is looking forward to cooperating with Peking University in setting up joint Ph.D. programs.

The delegation also visited the National School of Development, College of Engineering, School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, and Guanghua School of Management to hold discussions with representatives.
